The Anteaters traveled up to Stanford for the Cardinal Invite last weekend. Saturday the wind was late to build and both the Women's PCCs and Cardinal fleet went out late around 11. Breeze began around 12 starting at 5 knots and growing to around 8 knots with shifts every second of the day. Skipper Brian Maclean and crew Drake Baldwin got a single first that day but were playing the consistency game with 7 second places out of a total of 10 races putting them in first place by the end of the day.
Sunday began similarly but never building up breeze past 3 knots. The Cardinal fleet was in Z420s and coupled with the low breeze the three races held were practically a standstill. Skipper and crew Brian and Drake managed another second place but lost out to the UCSB boat challenging for first overall in the three races dropping them to second overall by 6 points. Third place was a Stanford boat trailing by 12.
Christian Parizeau and Hali Dickson were also in attendance as alternates. The team had a great time and thanks Stanford for running the event.
